Meet the Team

Christian Rangen is a serial entrepreneur, strategy expert, business school faculty, speaker, author – and most recently founder and CEO of Strategy Tools. Strategy Tools started as his PhD project, quickly turned into a private research initiative. Since 2011, Strategy Tools has been used with 1000’s of companies around the world.

Over the past 18 years, he has advised companies and governments globally on strategy, innovation, transformation and developing ecosystems. Over the past three years, he has worked extensively on Innovation Superclusters, working closely with the Malaysian and Norwegian Governments to support their national innovation programs. Chris has led multiple National Transformation Projects, including launching new accelerator programs, venture builders and early stage VC funds. He is an active angel investor in disruptive technology firms.

Chris is also business school faculty, teaching strategy, transformation and the clean energy revolution at BI – Norwegian Business School (Norway) and Zigurat (Spain). He is an active public speaker and presents frequently at international innovation and strategy conferences. Most recently, Chris has been recognized by the prestigious Thinkers50 as one of 30 thinkers to watch in 2022.

He resides in Stavanger, Norway, but travels extensively for clients, speaking engagements and conferences.

Jolene Foo-Hodne is Co-Founder, VP Content & Communication at Strategy Tools.

She is also the visual designer, developing 40+ Strategy Tools, guidebooks and three strategy simulation board games.

In her role, she leads the overall design development and UX for users on paper, web and software platform.

She also runs the digital content development and marketing strategy for Engage//Innovate.

She brings years of experience in producing high quality content and has tackled a wide range of digital marketing projects for both fast-moving startups and multi-national corporations.

Jolene Foo-Hodne resides in Bryne, Norway

Adelina Manolache is VP Growth at Strategy Tools. She is a commercially and technically minded marketer, with a demonstrated history working in the tech industry.

In this role she leads all growth initiatives and user acquisitions at the company.

For over 6 years she has helped startups across three international teams manage their marketing efforts and branding strategies.

She has a strong background in all aspects of digital marketing, with a focus on marketing automation, growth hacking and running omni-channel campaigns.

Adelina resides in Stavanger, Norway

2 years doing M&A at the Japanese investment bank Nomura in London. Generalist banker, with an increased focus on infrastructure and energy transactions.
