Running a Simulation

From 3 to 16 per table

Group sizes are between 1 (limited learning) to 4 per team, with up to 4 teams per table. Each table can hold from 3 to 16 people. The recommended size is 3-4 groups of 3 people per group.

A session can have anywhere from one table to 30+ tables, depending on the group size, materials, and available space.

From 3 hours to 3+ days

The simulations can be designed around 1/2 day, 1-day, 2-day or 3-day workshop programs, depending on the depth of learning and impact.

The 1-day format is common. Some faculty members are looking into even longer programs, even extending across multiple academic courses in a single semester.

Facilitator Setup

Each group should have one table facilitator. This can be faculty or students. For multiple groups, students can manage each table, with the faculty member as Master Facilitator.

For first-time facilitators, basic learning and training (offline or online) are suggested.
