Why We Wrote This
There will hardly be a victory without strategy.
As John Gaddis (1) 1 says “means and ends must be connected if something is going to happen”. Now, in this liquid and unstable world, finding causes and effects is a beautiful challenge … I cannot believe in strategy without strategists. One point to correct for us Brazilians: the lack of depth in the reflections and strategic discussions. If we want to increase the chances of success, we will have to improve work habits and culture.
However, we have our advantage: versatility and an unmatched ability to adapt to new scenarios. We can and must affirm our quality in the leadership of a new school of strategy. For the country to have many good CSOs (2), it is necessary to value this role and promote a true ‘strategist career’. This gap needs to be filled for the next cycle of development in the country, trusting greater chances of victory for our companies. Combining depth and pragmatism, vision of the future and initiative, victory will be more favorable for us. Training professionals like that is Strategy Tools’ proposal through its global platform. A language of strategy for the new times; an international community to lead the changes.
The purpose of this report is to promote this idea and give the guides to put it into practice. You, the Brazilian strategist, join us: we will transform the way strategy is made in Brazil and in the world!
